Welcome to our website and a snapshot into what makes our school so valued by our community.  We are a thriving, three form entry Catholic primary school with nursery provision located in the heart of Hanwell; in the parish of Our Lady and St. Joseph.  Our school serves mainly, but not exclusively, Catholic families and their children.

Our school is divided into three age specific phases meaning that our children’s learning and development is more closely aligned to the learning styles appropriate for their age.  We take our responsibility of forming and nurturing the citizens of the future very seriously.  All our girls and boys, irrespective of their backgrounds, have access to our broad and balanced curriculum and have equal opportunities to succeed.

Our highly skilled staff is united in its determination to ensure that all learning environments are conducive for every child to strive to do their best and to recognise that mistakes are opportunities for learning and growth.  Our children achieve very well relative to their starting points and they make good progress, better than similar pupils nationally.  However, we also understand that education is not only about academia and we develop the ‘whole’ child through areas such as sport, music, drama and art.

We are a Catholic school and aspire to find the gift in every child which makes them unique.  Our Christian values underpin all that we do in developing our children’s journey in faith, attitudes and behaviours.  We want our children to become the person they were created to be and to lead a purposeful existence.  At St. Joseph’s, we do not just study our faith, we live it.

We acknowledge that parents are their children’s first educators and play a vital role in educating their children.  We work in unison with parents to ensure that our provision meets everyone’s high expectations so that our children are provided with the best possible start to their lives.

I hope you enjoy looking at our website and I look forward to welcoming you when you visit.
